Dorothy and Hezekiah, two of the children of Samuel and Dorothy Colby, were baptized at Salisbury, 1 Nov 1719, as grandchildren of Henry Ambrose (VITAL RECORDS OF SALISBURY [Topsfield,MA, 1915], 55 [FHL #845110]). Moreover, Samuel and Dorothy Colby named a son Ambrose Colby in 1700.
    DEATH: No death rec found. Dorothy was living on 7 May 1759 when her son-in-law David Currier sold her dower land in Amesbury in response to her petition for support to the General Court, 14 Mar 1759 (Essex Co. Probate, [o.s.] 336:217 [FHL #875024]).

Susannah apparently died between 20 Mar 1783, when she is mentioned in a deed, above, and 25 Apr 1786, when her husband was among the heirs of Enoch Colby who deeded land to Hale Stevens without her mention, although she was the blood heir (Ibid, 124:530 [FHL #016251]).
