    DEATH: No death rec found. Nicholas died before 10 Mar 1709/10, presumably at Groton, when his son James Cady of Sherborn sold to Benjamin Bellows of Lancaster "all the land that was my honored father's homelott lying in the township of Groton" (Middlesex Co. Deeds, 15:417 [FHL #554005]).

    MAR #2: No mar rec found. A wife Lydia is mentioned in his will, below. She is apparently the widow of Jonas Fairbanks, who was killed by the Indians in the Lancaster Massacre, 10 Feb 1676. Jonas Fairbanks and Lydia Prescott were married at Lancaster, 28 May 1658 (Henry S. Nourse, ed, BIRTH, MARRIAGE AND DEATH REGISTER OF LANCASTER, MASS. [Lancaster, 1890], 11, 16 [FHL #547550]). Lydia "Barron," widow of Jonas Fairbanks, made an account of her dau Grace Fairbank's portion of the estate on 8 Aug 1698 (Middlesex Co. Probate Files, 1st series, #7131 [FHL #397053]). Furthermore, Lydia and Jabez Fairbanks were bonded to execute the will of Ellis Barron on 7 Oct 1712, below.
