FELT: John Felt and Jonas Nilsson
FELT: John Felt and Jonas Nilsson
John Felt (standing) and his Father-in-law, Jonas Nilsson (seated in the center). Jonas was the father of Britta Lisa Jonasson, John Felts first wife. It is believed that the woman in the picture is Britta Lisa Jonasson and the man sitting to the left of Jonas is her brother (name unknown). Her brother did not immigrate to the United States. This tin type picture, we think, was taken before they left Sweden around 1855.

John Felt, Britta and Jonas immigratedd to the U.S. at the same time. On the ship, Jonas wore a fleece lined coat for warmth. The ship had stock on it before the family voyage. Lice got into the coat. Not knowing what to do, he threw the coat overboard and a couple of weeks later, he got pneumonia and died. He was buried in the Atlantic.

This photo was kept out in an old metal shed and a lot of pictures were
destroyed. I hope you can fix this one up. I asked Marian if she had any
idea how old Lyle was and she figures it's after the war and before she met
him, so she guesses it to be 1946 or 1947.

A view of the home that Henry and Vivian Johansen lived in with all
the kids, in Huntsville, UT. I don't know if you can see the writing on the
picture, but Lyle had written on the picture to point out the parent's
bedroom, the kitchen, and the boys bedrooms on one side, and the girls
bedroom on the other side.

This is the home that Lyle Johansen was born in. I'm not sure if all the
other kids were born here, but I know they all lived here. Lyle had written
a note that there was a front porch all across the front of the house when
he lived there.
