BIRTH: VITAL RECORDS OF NEWBURY, 2 vols. (Salem, MA, 1911), 1:14 (FHL #974.45/N1 V28v). Duplicate entry: "14" Apr 1650.
MAR: Ibid, 2:11. It is thought by some that the wife's surname was "Allen," but the name on her mar rec is Anna "Ellen." Furthermore, probate recs of Jacob Adams, below, indicate that he died at the home of widow Mary Ellen in Boston, perhaps his mother-in-law.
DEATH: No death rec found. See the will of Jacob Adams of Suffield [now in Conn.], 20 Nov 1717, proved 22 Nov 1717, Hampshire Co. Probate, 4:1 (FHL #879184). "[He] was representative for the said Suffield in the General Court now sitting and fell sick of a milignant fever [while] lodging in the house of the widow Mary Ellen in Boston and there made his will..." Also see "Suffield Births, Marriages, Deaths, 1674-1850," Barbour Collection (typescript, 1928; Conn. State Library, Hartford), 3 (FHL #002980). "d. while at Boston, being a member of the General Court."

NOTE: Robert Adams is given a son Robert in Sidney Perley, HISTORY OF SALEM, 3 vols. (Salem, MA, 1924-28), 2:47 (FHL #974.45/S1 H2ps). The same claim is also made in other accounts. No proof of this son has been found.
