It seems likely, given the dates of confirmation and their parents' marriage date that John and Mary were twins. Not expected to live, they were privately baptized soon after birth. Mary died later in the year, but John survived. The entry in the original parish registerappears incomplete and is missing altogether from Boughton Aluph BTs.
