- BIRTH: Thomas Hilpe is mentioned in an undated chancery suit, no doubt from the early 1520s, alleging that he married Cicely, dau of Thomas Hickes, but was deprived of his rightful legacy from the will of Thomas Hickes by the widow Ellen Hickes (Chancery Proceedings, PRO C1/528/221531, by corr, James Butler-Sloss, London, 1996). Date of birth is an approximation.

DEATH: No death/bur rec found. Thomas was dead before 7 Jan 1550/1 when his widow was mentioned as wife in the will of Richard Hampden of Thornbury, 7 Jan 1550/1, proved 22 Jan 1551/2, P.C.C., 2 Powell (FHL #091926).
