- CHR: Thornbury par reg (FHL #414766). Chr entry does not include names of parents. It is believed that two Tayer families were having children in Thornbury between 1558 and 1573. One is Thomas who had a son John baptized on 15 Oct 1558. Chronological considerations suggest that Alice is not the dau of Thomas but the dau of John Tayer, who appears as a godparent during the 1560s, administrator of the estate of Joan Follet in 1576, and in Thornbury manor court rolls, searched by Clive Beardsmore of Birmingham, Eng, corr 5 Feb 1993.
