- BIRTH: No birth rec found. Abel is called "brother" in the will of Joshua Benjamin of Charlestown, 5 Apr 1684, proved 17 Jun 1684, Middlesex Co. Probate Files, 1st series, #1574 (FHL #386018). The same will identifies Abigail Woodward as a sister. Abigail is a proved dau of John and Abigail Benjamin. Date and place of birth are approximations. John Benjamin, Abel's father, was in Watertown by 28 Feb 1643/4 when he sold land to Barnaby Wind [Wines] (SUFFOLK DEEDS, 14 vols. [Boston, 1880-1906], 1:51 [FHL #974.46 R2s]).
