- BIRTH: No birth rec found. Elizabeth is identified as a dau of Joshua and Abigail Stubbs in the will of her stepfather, John Woodward of Watertown, 10 Jan 1695/6, proved 9 Mar 1695/6, Middlesex Co. Probate Files, 1st series, #25588 (FHL #432089). In this will Elizabeth is referred to as "daughter-in-law," meaning stepdaughter in the language of the day. Abigail, wife of John Woodward, was the widow of Joshua Stubbs. Date and place of birth are approximations.

MAR #3: TOWN OF WESTON, BIRTHS, DEATHS AND MARRIAGES (Boston, 1901), 10 (FHL #974.44/W9 V2p). The estate records of Jonathan Stimpson, late of Watertown, include receipts from several of Jonathan's children for their portion of the estate of their mother, "Elizabeth Stimson alias Bullard," dated in May 1727 (Middlesex Co. Probate Files, 1st series, #21489 [FHL #421528]). The document proves that Stimpson's widow is identical to the Elizabeth Barns who married Jonathan Bullard in Weston, 23 Mar 1720/1.
DEATH: TOWN OF WESTON, 385. Called "Widow Barns (formerly Stimson)," apparently forgetting her 3rd marriage to Jonathan Bullard.
