- BIRTH: No birth rec found. John is called "brother" in the will of Thomas Safford of Ipswich, 11 Aug 1753, proved 27 May 1754 (Essex Co. Probate, 332:241 [FHL #875136]). Thomas is a proved son of John Safford. Year of birth is calculated from age 73 on gravestone inscription, below.
