MAR: No mar rec found. The will of Dorothy's mother, Dorothy Lord of Hartford, 8 Feb 1669, proved 14 May 1675, refers to the children of "my daughter Ingersoll" but does not mention the daughter by given name. She appears to be deceased, as her portion went to her children: Dorothy Phelps, Margery Ingersoll, Hannah Kelsey, and Margaret Ingersoll. See abstract from Hartford District Probate in Charles W. Manwaring, ed, DIGEST OF THE EARLY CONNECTICUT PROBATE RECORDS, 3 vols. (Hartford, 1904-1906), 1:215-16 (FHL #974.6 P2m). All of the daughters of Thomas and Dorothy Lord are accounted for except the youngest dau Dorothy. Margery, dau of John and Dorothy Ingersoll, was born at Northampton, Jan 1656 ("Births, Marriages, and Deaths, [Hampshire] County Court, entries for Northampton, p. 26 [FHL #760648]). Dorothy died the same month ("Hampshire Records of Births, Marriages, and Deaths," [private ms of John Pynchon], entries for Northampton, p. 155 [FHL #014766]). Furthermore, Mary, widow of John Ingersoll of Westfield, testified on 30 Sep 1684 of a pre-nuptial agreement between herself and John, which mentions John's "other children," who are not named except Dorothy, wife of Jacob Phelps (Hampshire Co. Probate, 1:238,257 [FHL #879184]). Dorothy Lord obviously married John Ingersoll of Northampton and Westfield, Mass.
