- MAR: The will of Thomas Coleman of Hadley, Mass., below, mentions his wife Frances and gives to "son-in-law" [stepson] Thomas Wells the rents due from a house in Evesham, Eng (Hampshire Co. Probate, 1:175 [FHL #879184]). The will of Frances Coleman [of Hadley?], n.d., proved 26 Mar 1678, mentions her Wells children and dau Deborah, who are also mentioned in the will of Thomas Coleman (Hampshire Co. Probate, 1:198 [FHL #879184]). It is clear that Thomas Coleman's wife Frances was the widow of Thomas Wells. Frances Albright married Thomas Wells at All Saints Evesham, Worcs on 13 Oct 1625 (All Saints Evesham par reg, as cited in Douglas Richardson, "Wells and Albright," NEHGR, 146[1992]:298 [FHL #974 B2ne]).
