  Notes	BIRTH: No birth/chr rec found. Samuel is identified in the will of his father, Henry Adams of Braintree, 1646, proved 8 Jun 1647, Suffolk Co. Probate, #52, (n.s.) 1:429 (FHL #594359). Date and place of birth are approximations. It is known that Henry Adams was in Barton St. David as late as 1614 and in the neighboring parish of Kingweston by 1622. MAR #1: No mar rec found. Mary, dau of Manuel Eglessfield, late of London, is called wife of Samuel Adams of Braintree in power of attorney, 22 Oct 1646. (ASPINWALL NOTARIAL RECORDS, 1644-1651, Reports of the Boston Record Commissioners, [Boston, 1903], 32:34-35 [FHL #974.461 H2b]). William Aspinwall was a Boston attorney. MAR #2: No mar rec found. Samuel is mentioned as a debtor to the estate of Thomas Graves of Charlestown in Graves's will, 13 Jan 1652, proved 1 Dec 1653, inv 31 Jul 1653, Middlesex Co. Probate Files, 1st series, #9773 (FHL #397077). The will of his son Thomas Graves of Charlestown, 21 May 1697-1 Jul 1697, mentions "the children of my sister Rebecah Adams" (Middlesex Co. Probate Files, 1st series, #9674 [FHL #397077]). Samuel Adams and wife Rebecca had a dau Katherine born at Charlestown in 1658 (Roger D. Joslyn, ed, VITAL RECORDS OF CHARLESTOWN, 2 vols. [Boston, 1984-95], 1:36 [FHL #974.46/C2 V2j]). MAR #3: VITAL RECORDS OF CHELMSFORD (Salem, MA, 1914), 171 (FHL #974.44/C5 V2e). DEATH: Joslyn, VITAL RECORDS OF CHARLESTOWN, 1:140. "Capt.
