  Notes	BIRTH: No birth/chr rec found. Jonathan is called "brother" of Edward Adams of Medfield in Jonathan Adams v. Nathaniel Stedman, 27 Oct 1663, Suffolk Co. Court Files, #606 (FHL #911117). Date and place of birth are suggested by family history and chronology. Barton St. David par regs are missing for this period, and BTs exist for only a few scattered yrs. Henry Adams of Barton St. David signed a marriage bond in 1614. See J. Gardner Bartlett, HENRY ADAMS OF SOMERSETSHIRE (New York, 1927), 49 (FHL #929.273 Ad17bj). MAR #1: Baltonsborough par reg, as cited in Bartlett, HENRY ADAMS OF SOMERSETSHIRE, 75. Power of attorney from John Shepheard of Braintree to John Adams of Concord, 25 Dec 1649, shows that Jonathan was still in Baltonsborough (ASPINWALL NOTARIAL RECORDS, 1644-1651, 32nd Report Boston Record Commissioners, [Boston, 1903], 267 [FHL #974.461 H2b]). William Aspinwall was a Boston attorney. MAR #2: No mar rec found. Children are recorded for Jonathan Adams and his wife Elizabeth in VITAL RECORDS OF MEDFIELD (Boston, 1903), 10, 11, 13 (FHL #974.47/M2 V2n). It has been widely reported that the 2nd wife of Jonathan Adams was Elizabeth Holman. See Bartlett, HENRY ADAMS, 75; and Mary Lovering Holman, ANCESTRY OF CHARLES STINSON PILLSBURY, 2 vols.
