- BIRTH: "Barnstable, Mass. Vital Records," MAYFLOWER DESCENDANT, 11(1909):131 (FHL #974.4 D25md). The entry gives Thomas's birth date as 25 May 1697. It is more likely that he was born on 25 May "1696," as he was baptized on 21 Jun 1696. The church rec was kept currently, while the vital recs of Barnstable often recorded the family births long after the events.
