- BIRTH: No birth/chr rec found. Robert is identified in the will of his mother, "ffelyce" Crackbone, of White Notley, 1 Feb 1558, no probate act, Court of the Bishop of London's Commissary, orig wills, box 8, #296 (FHL #094350). She is styled "widow," apparently the widow of Thomas Crackbone, who was bur in White Notley on 25 Feb 1556/7 (the only Crackbone bur in the parish, 1538-58) and the father of John Crackbone (chr 4 Feb 1539/40), who is called son in will of Felis. See White Notley par reg (transcript, n.d), unpaginated (FHL #560909). Date and place of birth are approximations.
