- BIRTH: No birth/chr rec found. That he is a son of Thomas and Katherine Meakins is shown by the burial rec of Katherine Meakins, "mother of Thomas," on 3 Feb 1650 (VITAL RECORDS OF ROXBURY, 2 vols. [Salem, MA, 1925-26] 2:591 [FHL #974.46/R2 V2r]). Thomas and Katherine "Mekins," apparently Thomas's parents, were admitted to the Boston church on 2 Feb 1633/4 ("Records of Admissions in the First Church Boston, 1630 to 1687" [transcript, n.d.], 13 [FHL #856694]). Date and place of birth are approximations.
