- BIRTH: No birth rec found. It is supposed that Mary is a dau of Thomas Meakins because: (1) This is the only Meakins family in New England into which Mary can be fit. (2) Her parents resided in Hartford, where she died. (3) Thomas Miller, son-in-law of Thomas Meakins, with Samuel Wells, son of Thomas Meakins's wife Sarah by her 1st husband, administered the estate of Mary Meakins of Hartford, 3 Jan 1737/8, Hartford District Probate, abstracted in Charles W.
