- BIRTH: John Turner is called "eldest son" in the will of his father, Jacob Turner of Egerton, 4 Nov 1624, proved 15 Nov 1624, Consistory Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 46:277 (FHL #188859). She is also identified in the will of her mother, Margaret Turner of Egerton, 16 Jun 1628, proved 13 Sep 1628, Consistory Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 48:239 (FHL #188860). Year of birth is calculated from age 22 on mar lic, below. Egerton BTs and par regs are missing for this period.
MAR #1: No mar rec found. See mar lic, 14 Mar 1630/1, abstracted in Joseph Meadows Cowper, ed, CANTERBURY MARRIAGE LICENCES, 6 vols. (Canterbury 1892-1906), 2:1006 (FHL #942.23 V25c). John was called a clothier and bachelor, aged 22 years from the parish of Egerton. The mar was licensed for Molash but is not recorded in Molash par reg. Elizabeth was buried at Egerton on 20 Aug 1635 (Egerton BTs [FHL #1736695 item 5]).
