- BIRTH: John is identified in the will of his father, Richard Kingsnothe of Pluckley, 13 May 1494, proved 1 Jul 1494, Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 6:68 (FHL #188921). Date and place of birth are approximations.
MAR #1: The name of this wife has not been discovered, but John had a wife prior to the wife Edith named in his will. The will of widow Edith Kingsnothe of Pluckley, 20 Nov 1510, proved [incomplete date] 1510, shows that she is not the mother of John's children (Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 11:184 [FHL #188923]).
MAR #2: A wife Edith is identified in John's will, below. Edith's will, above, shows that she was the mother of William, Nicholas, Geoffry, and Symon Bocher; no Kingsnothe children are mentioned. The same children are identified in the will of John Bocher of Pluckley, 10 Mar 1503/4, proved 15 Apr 1504, Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 9:14 (FHL #188922). Hence, John Kingsnothe married the widow Edith Bocher between 1504 and 1510.
