MAR: Annis is presumably the mother of William and John Donne, mentioned in her father's will. A "sister Donne" is mentioned in the will of Annis's brother, Robert Cheney of Waltham Abbey, 1 Oct 1567, proved 13 Mar 1567/8, Commissary Court of London, reg wills, 15:296 (FHL #094098). As no other daughters are named in the will of Robert Cheney, Sr, it is believed that Annis married a Mr. Donne
