MAR #1: VITAL RECORDS OF SUDBURY (Boston, 1903), 241 (FHL #974.44/S1 V2n). She died on 29 Aug 1683 (G. Andrews Moriarty, "The Family of Deacon Nathaniel Lawrence of Groton," TAG, 19[1942]:67 [FHL #973 D25aga]). No evidence of Sarah's death has been found in original source records.
MAR #2: No mar rec found. Sarah, "my now married wife," consented to a deed from Nathaniel Lawrence of Charlestown to Timothy Wright, 16 Mar 1715/6 (Middlesex Co. Deeds, 23:18 [FHL #554012]). Moriarty claims that Sarah was married to Nathaniel as early as 31 Oct 1695 when she signed an indenture of exchange of land (Moriarty, "Family of Nathaniel Lawrence," TAG, 19:67). This document has not been located. Sarah died at Charlestown, 25 Nov 1717 (Roger D. Joslyn, ed, VITAL RECORDS OF CHARLESTOWN, 2 vols. [Boston, 1984-95], 1:250 [FHL #974.46/C2 V2j]).
MAR #3: No mar rec found. Nathaniel's widow, Sarah, relinquished her dower to his sons, John and Nathaniel, 25 Apr 1724, according to the terms of a marriage contract (Middlesex Co. Probate Files, #13757 [FHL #416790]). Her own estate was administered by her son Ebenezer Phillips of Stoneham, 28 Mar 1737. Her stepson, Jonathan Lawrence was a surety (Middlesex Co. Probate Files, 1st series, #13791 [FHL #416790]). Ebenezer is the son of Andrew Phillips and Sarah Smith, who were married at Charlestown, 17 Aug 1695 (VITAL RECORDS OF CHARLESTOWN, 1:175). Andrew Phillips died, 10 Dec 1717 (Ibid, 1:250).
