- BIRTH: VITAL RECORDS OF NANTUCKET, 5 vols. (Boston, 1925-28), 1:337 (FHL #974.497/N1 V2n).
MAR: No mar rec found. The will of Isaac Robinson of Tisbury, 5 Feb 1727/8, proved 8 Feb 1717/8, mentions a wife Ann and Silvanus Cottle, whom "I having brought...up from a child" (Dukes Co. Probate, 2:50 [FHL #911748]). The will of Ann Robinson of Tisbury, 2 Jun 1737-22 Nov 1737, calls Silvanus Cottle her "cousin" (Ibid, 3:80-81 [FHL #911747]). Silvanus is the son of John Cottle, son of Edward Cottle. It is believed, therefore, that Ann Cottle, dau of Edward, married Isaac Robinson. Nephews were often referred to as cousins.
