DEATH: A death date of "19" Apr 1816 is given in New Hampshire Vital Records, Deaths (FHL #1001071). However, this date could not be correct, as Benjamin's will was made on 24 Apr 1816. See the nuncupative will of Benjamin Couch of Boscowen, 24 Apr 1816, proved 4 Jun 1816, Hillsborough Co. Probate, 26:114-15 (FHL #016082), adm 4 Jun 1816 (Ibid, 19:469 [FHL #016079]), inv 9 Aug 1816 (Ibid, 25:520 [FHL #016082). The more likely death date of "26" Apr 1816 is found on his gravestone inscription, below.
