- BIRTH: Date and place of birth are approximations. Henry married and had children baptized at Cambridge beginning in 1615.
MAR #1: St. Mary-the-Great Cambridge BTs (FHL #1818407).
MAR #2: No mar rec found. Although there is no mention of Henry's 2nd wife, he apparently married Elizabeth, widow of Robert Andrews, between 1647 and 1655. The will of Robert Andrews of Ipswich, 1 Mar 1643, proved 26 Mar 1644, mentions a wife Elizabeth and the children of Humphrey Griffin, among others, but he does not explain his relationship to Griffin (THE PROBATE RECORDS OF ESSEX COUNTY, 3 vols. [Salem, MA, 1916-20], 1:27-28 [FHL #974.45 P2p]). Widow Andrews was admonished for reviling her son-in-law Humphrey Griffin on 30 Mar 1647 (RECORDS AND FILES OF THE QUARTERLY COURTS OF ESSEX COUNTY, 9 vols. [Salem, MA, 1911-75], 1:113 [FHL #974.45 P2e]). Humphrey Griffin of Ipswich sold his house and land in Ipswich to Simon Tompson, 9 Feb 1655/6. Henry Pinder witnessed the deed, and Elizabeth Pinder released her claim to the land (Essex Co. Deeds, 25:190 [FHL #866025]). Hence, Robert Andrews' widow married a Pinder between 1647 and 1655. Henry was the only available Pinder, and he was a witness to the 1655 deed. Furthermore, Elizabeth Pinder was called "widow" in a deed to Elizabeth Deare, 31 Jul 1662 (Ipswich Deeds, 3:3 [FHL #873019). Henry died in Feb 1661(/2?).
