MAR #1: No mar rec found. Moses was presented for fornication with his wife Elizabeth Start before marriage, 26 Jul 1676 (PROVINCE AND COURT RECORDS OF MAINE, 6 vols. [Portland, ME, 1928-75], 2:319 [FHL #974.1 P2p]). The mar probably took place not long before this date.
MAR #2: Joseph Crook Anderson II and Lois Ware Thurston, eds, VITAL RECORDS OF KITTERY (Camden, ME, 1991), 45 (FHL #974.195/K1 V2v). The wife is called Sarah widow of John Soper. Sarah was the dau of Christian Remick, according to Everett S. Stackpole, OLD KITTERY AND HER FAMILIES(Lewiston, ME, 1903; repr Somersworth, NH, 1981), 806 (FHL #974.195/K1 H2s). No supporting evidence has been found in original source records, and Stackpole is considered unreliable.
DEATH: No death rec found. Moses was living in Kittery, 18 Mar 1730/1, when he sold land laid out to his father in Salisbury (Essex Co. Deeds, 61:8 [FHL #866041]).
