MAR: No mar rec found. She is called Mary "Redington" in a deed from her brother John Gould of Topsfield to his nephew Thomas Newmarsh, 19 Mar 1695/6 (Essex Co. Deeds, 11:185 [FHL #866019]). Mary was apparently the wife of early Topsfield settler John Redington. See Hugh Grant Rowell, "The Red(d)ingtons of Topsfield and Boxford, Mass.," NEHGR, 109(1955):46-48 (FHL #974 B2ne). Mary was noteworthy for her testimony against her sister-in-law, Sarah, wife of John Wilde, during the Salem witch trials of 1692. Sarah was subsequently executed.
