BIRTH: Ralph is identified in the will of his father, Robert Cheney of Waltham Abbey, 1 Oct 1567, proved 13 Mar 1567/8, Commissary Court of London, reg wills, 15:296 (FHL #094098). Date and place of birth are approximations.
MAR: Chigwell par reg (FHL #1472108 item 11). In 1589 Ralph and his wife Anne conveyed land in Waltham Abbey to Edward Golding (R. E. G. Kirk, etal, eds, FEET OF FINES FOR ESSEX, 6 vols. [Colchester, 1899-1993], 6:69 [FHL #942.67 R2g]).

MAR #2: No mar rec found. Agnes's son-in-law, Christopher Goldinge of Waltham Abbey, refers to his "mother Britten" in his will, 17 Apr 1582, proved 16 May 1582, Commissary Court of London, orig wills, box 11 (FHL #094300). Christopher's own mother, Elizabeth Goldinge, was buried at Waltham Abbey, 29 Apr 1567. Hence, it appears that Agnes married (1) John Harrison, and (2) a Mr. Britten.
