BIRTH: Date and place of birth are approximations. She is called Mary Post or Thomas in some published accounts, but there seems to be no evidence. See discussion in George E. McCracken, "William Buell & Early Descendants," TAG, 4(1978):66 (FHL #973 D25aga).
MAR: "Windsor Births, Marriages, Deaths, 1637-1850," Barbour Collection (typescript, 1929; Conn. State Library, Hartford), 46 (FHL #002983). Wife's name is not mentioned, but she is identified as Mary in the will of her husband, William Buell of Windsor, 26 Jul 1681, no probate act, Hartford District Probate, abstracted in Charles W. Manwaring, ed, DIGEST OF THE EARLY CONNECTICUT PROBATE RECORDS, 3 vols. (Hartford, 1904-1906), 1:280-81 (FHL #974.6 P2m).
DEATH: Date of death is found in probate recs. See the will of widow Mary Buell of Windsor, 29 Aug 1684, proved 24 Mar 1684/5, Manwaring, DIGEST, 1:280. Death date of "2" Sep 1684 is found in "Windsor Births, Marriages, Deaths," Barbour Collection, 46.
