MAR: J. Gardner Bartlett believed "Alys" Adams, widow, of the 1542/3 subsidy roll of Barton St. David to be the widow of John Adams, who appears on a 1539 muster list of the tithing of Barton St. David. See Bartlett, HENRY ADAMS OF SOMERSETSHIRE (New York, 1927), 27-28 (FHL #929.273 Ad17bj). The evidence seems inconclusive.
DEATH: No death, burial, or probate rec found, but John is absent from the 1542/3 subsidy roll of Barton St. David (Bartlett, HENRY ADAMS, 28).
