His birth year is calculated from age 37 on deposition in land dispute, 15 Oct 1661, Plymouth Colony Deeds, 2:2:56 (FHL #567789). As Richard Warren was a passenger on the "Mayflower" in 1620, there is little doubt that Nathaniel was born in Plymouth.

    Notes:

BIRTH: Date and place of birth are approximations.
MAR: No mar rec found. Richard's wife Elizabeth is identified in his settlement of estate, below. DeForest believed Elizabeth was his second wife based on his interpretation of William Bradford's HISTORY OF PLYMOUTH PLANTATION: "Mr. Richard Warren lived some 4 or 5 years, and had his wife come over to him, by whom he had 2 sons...but he had 5 doughters more came over with his wife..." See L. Effingham DeForest and Anne Lawrence DeForrest, MOORE AND ALLIED FAMILIES (New York, 1938), 563 (FHL #1421429). The evidence seems inconclusive.

    Notes:

BIRTH: Baldock par reg (FHL #991,305). Elizabeth is also identified in the will of her father, Augustine Walker of Great Amwell, Herts, 19 Apr 1613, no probate act, Commissary Court of London, Essex and Herts Div, orig wills, box 41W, 1602-1619 (FHL #094406). Elizabeth was aged "above 90" on death and burial rec, below.

  3. 6.  Walker, William

    Notes:

MAR: No mar rec found. William's dau Sarah, wife of Nathaniel Warren of Plymouth, is called "grandchild" by Mrs. Jane Collier, wife of William Collier of Plymouth, Mass. (Plymouth Colony Deeds, 2:1:73-65 [FHL #567789]). She was apparently the Jane Clark who married William Collier at St. Olave, Southwark, Surrey, 16 May 1611 (W. H. Challen, ed, "Transcription of the Marriages of St. Olave, Southwark, 1583-1755" [typescript, 1927], 51 [FHL #416709]). Although the mar rec does not call her widow, Jane must have been previously married to a Clark, as none of her Collier daughters were old enough to have been the wife of William Walker. It is believed, therefore, that Jane had a dau by her first husband Clark, who became the wife of William Walker. For supporting articles, see John G. Hunt, "Origin of Three Early Plymouth Families: Cole, Collier, and Clarke," TAG, 42(1966):119-21 (FHL #973 D25aga); Robert S.
