Notes:

BIRTH: No birth rec found. Date of birth is calculated from age 18 in Oct 1683, as declared in inv of estate of her father, Christopher Crow, late of Windsor, 13 Dec 1680, Hartford District Probate, abstracted in Charles W. Manwaring, ed, DIGEST OF THE EARLY CONNECTICUT PROBATE RECORDS, 3 vols. (Hartford, 1904-1906), 1:296 (FHL #974.6 P2m). This document shows that Christopher had left the Connecticut colony leaving children and debts. At the time of Mary's birth, the family was residing in Hartford. See Henry R. Stiles, HISTORY AND GENEALOGIES OF ANCIENT WINDSOR, 2 vols. (Hartford, 1891-92; repr Somersworth, NH, 1976), 2:169 (FHL #974.62/W1 H2s).
MAR #1: No mar rec found. The birth entry of dau Hannah at Simsbury, 6 Aug 1686, calls her the "first Daughter of John Clark which he had by his wife whose maiden name was Mary Crow (Albert C. Bates, ed, SIMSBURY, CONNECTICUT BIRTHS, MARRIAGES AND DEATHS [Hartford, 1898], 17 [FHL #974.62/S4 V2b]).
MAR #2: No mar rec found. Mary is called "Mary Randall alias Clarke" on acct of adm of her 1st husband John Clark. See abstract from Hartford District Probate in Manwaring, DIGEST, 2:370-71. That she was the wife of William Randall of Enfield is shown by a deed from William Randall of Enfield to "son-in-law" [i.e. stepson] Daniel Clark, 10 Feb 1727 (Hampshire Co., Mass. Deeds, E:146 [FHL #844488]). Also see from deed dated 5 Sep 1720 from William Randall "sometime of Enfield and now resident of Windsor...for and in consideration of my love and good will unto Mary Clark of Windsor...as also to endow her by way of Joynter" (Hampshire Co., Mass. Deeds, E:255). This document appears to be a prenuptial agreement. Also note that Daniel Clark of Enfield with Mary Randall sold land in Enfield to Joseph Pease that was "originally William Randals of sd township," 12 Jun 1729 (Ibid, E:328).

DEATH: No death rec found. By 11 Dec 1680 Christopher Crow and his wife had left the Connecticut colony leaving the children and debts. The estate of Christopher Crow at Windsor was inventoried, 13 Dec 1680, adm granted 20 Apr 1681, and again 6 Mar 1684, by which time it appears Christopher was dead. BIRTH: No birth rec found. Mary is identifieded in the will of her father, Benjamin Burr of Hartford, 2 Jun 1677, proved 20 Apr 1681, Hartford District Probate, abstracted in Charles W. Manwaring, DIGEST OF THE EARLY THE CONNECTICUT PROBATE RECORDS, 3 vols. (Hartford, 1904-1906):284-285 (FHL #974.7 P2m). Date and place of birth are approximations based on family history and chronology. Benjamin Burr was an original settler of Hartford in 1636.

MAR #2: No mar rec found. The estate recs of Christopher Crow of Windsor suggest Mary (Burr) Crow, Christopher's widow, married Josiah Clark. Initial adm was granted to Mary's brother Samuel Burr, 20 Apr 1681. On 6 Mar 1684, Josiah Clark was appointed to administer Christopher Crow's estate. At that time he was already in possession of 73 pounds of the Crow estate, which he apparently acquired by marriage to Crow's widow. Josiah's younger brother, John Clark, married Christopher Crow's dau Mary about 1685. DEATH: No death rec found. Mary was living on 6 Mar 1684, when she received a legacy from the distribution of Christopher Crow's estate, above. It is stated in these documents that Mary had left the colony. She may have gone to New Jersey, where it is said her husband Josiah Clark settled.
