He is also identified in the will of his father, Robert Plumbe of Gt. Yeldham, 9 Jan 1611/2, proved 22 Jun 1613, P.C.C., 64 Capell (FHL #092053). Date and place of birth are approximations.

BIRTH: Robert is identified as a son of John Plumbe in the 1634 Herald's Visitation of Essex (Walter C. Metcalfe, ed, THE VISITATIONS OF ESSEX, Publications of the Harleian Society, Visitation Series, vol. 13 [London, 1878], 470 [FHL #942 B4h]). This is clearly incorrect, however, as Robert's own will mentions sisters Alice Easterford and Margaret Egeley, both of whom are identified as children, along with Robert, in the nuncupative will of their mother, Cicely Bladwyn of Great Yeldham, 16 Mar 1597 [1596/7], proved 4 Apr 1597, Archdeaconry Court of Middlesex (Essex & Herts Div), reg wills, 5A:98 (FHL #094729). Cicely Bladwin was first the widow of Robert Plumbe of Great Yeldham, whose will, 19 Jan 1552, proved 11 Jun 1553, identifies a son Robert and a wife Cicely (Commissary Court of London, orig wills, Box 28, #142 [FHL #094381]). Date and place of Robert's birth are approximations. Robert was clearly of age in 1552 and was named executor of his father's will.
MAR #1: No mar rec found. Great Yeldham par reg includes the bur of Elizabeth, wife of Robert Plumbe (FHL #857068). Identification as a Purcas is from the 1634 Visitation of Essex, above.
MAR #2: No mar rec found. A wife Etheldred is mentioned in the will of Robert Plumbe of Great Yeldham, below. She was apparently the previous wife of one "Fuller," as shown by the mention of Jane Fuller, "my wife's daughter," in the will. Jane Fuller later married Richard Purcas.
BUR: Great Yeldham par reg (FHL #857068). The bur entry is recorded in large, bold letters apparently indicating a person of social importance. Also see the will of Robert Plumbe of Great Yeldham, 9 Jan 1611/12, proved 22 Jun 1613, P.C.C., 64 Capell (FHL #092053).

The will of Robert Bladwine of Castle Hedingham, 18 Mar1574/5, proved 2 May 1582, shows that he had a wife Cicely (Archdeaconry Court of Middlesex [Essex & Herts Div], reg wills, 3:326 [FHL #094730]). Robert Bladwyn was buried in Great Yeldham.
