    Notes:

    BIRTH: No proof has been found that Anna belongs in this family. However, this is the only Webb family in Springfield, and her birth year computed from age 75 on death rec makes her the right age to fit into the family. Hackensack Reformed Dutch Church recs were poorly kept for this period. It is believed that she was born in Hackensack, where the chr of her brother Cornelius was recorded in 1694.

    CHR: BAPTISMS FROM 1639 TO 1730 IN THE REFORMED DUTCH CHURCH, NEW YORK, Collections of the NYGBS, 2(1901):76 (FHL #974.7 B4ne). In this entry Anna's father is erroneously written "Nicolaes." No further rec of Nicolaes has been found, and Nicolaes's wife was Barentje Dircks, the same name as Cornelis's wife. Anna was baptized at the "General's Bowery," the entry later being copied into the register of the main Dutch Church at New York City after the departure of preacher Henry Selyns.
    MAR #1: No mar rec found. The baptismal entry of son Christian, 16 Feb 1683, identifies his parents as Johannes Christiaenszen and Anna Corneliszen ("Records of the Reformed Dutch Church in New York," NYGBR, 10[1879]:28 [FHL #974.7 B2n]).
    MAR #2: RECORDS OF THE REFORMED DUTCH CHURCH OF BERGEN, N.J. NOW JERSEY CITY, Collections of the Holland Society of New York, vol. 4 (New York, 1915[?]), unpaginated (FHL #974.7 B4h).     DEATH: No death rec found. Cornelis was living in 1681 when twin daughters Sarah and Rachel were baptized at New York. He probably removed to the vicintity of Hackensack, NJ with his family and died there.

    Notes:

    BIRTH: Date of birth is an approximation. Barentje Dircks was called "Van Meppel" [of Meppel] on mar rec, below. She is probably a sister of Geertruyd Dirks, wife of Jan Adamszen. Cornelis Matthysen, Barentje's husband, witnessed the bapt of Geertruyd's dau Barbertie, and Jan Adamszen and Geertruyd witnessed baptisms of Barentje's children in 1665 and 1669 (BAPTISMS FROM 1639 TO 1730 IN THE REFORMED DUTCH CHURCH, NEW YORK, Collections of the NYGBS, 2[1901]:77, 84, 96 [FHL #974.7 B4ne]). Barentje is also the probable sister of Egbertje Dirks, Van Meppel, who married Anke Bruson at New Amsterdam, 7 Apr 1661 (MARRIAGES FROM 1639 TO 1801 IN THE REFORMED DUTCH CHURCH, NEW AMSTERDAM, Collections of the NYGBS, 9[1940]:27 [FHL #974 B4ne]). Baptisms for Barentje, Egbertje, and Geertruyd were not found in the recs of the Meppel Reformed Dutch Church.
