    MAR: No mar rec found. Wife is identified by death rec of their dau Caroline Badger, Vermont Vital Recs, 2nd series, 1871-1908 (FHL #540054).
    DEATH: David was living when his father wrote his will in 1838, but was dead when the heirs of David Rogers sold land to Don C. Flower, 2 Feb 1854 (Hartland, Vermont Deeds, 16:254, Hartland Town Clerk). He presumably died in Hartland, where he lived his entire life and where his widow continuned to reside.

    MAR: No mar rec found. Death rec of their dau Caroline Badger identifies parents as David Rogers and Elizabeth Raymond (Vermont Vital Records, 2nd series, 1871-1908 [FHL #540054]). The identity of this Elizabeth Raymondis deduced as follows: Elizabeth Raymond, pensioner, age 82, widow of Samuel Raymond, was living with the David Rogers family in the 1840 U.S.census of Hartland, 439 (FHL #027442). See the Revolutionary War pension file of Samuel Raymond which identifies his wife Elizabeth Bumpus and includes a copy of their Middleborough, Massachusetts mar rec (Revolutionary War Pensions, #W24718, National Archives, [FHL #972008]). Their mar is also recorded in Newbury, New Hampshire. Hence, it is clear that David Rogers' wife Elizabeth, whose birth is also recorded in Newbury, is a dau of Samuel Raymond and Elizabeth Bumpus.
    DEATH: No death rec found. Elizabeth was living on 2 Feb 1854 when she signed deed as an heir of David Rogers (Hartland, Vermont Deeds, 16:254, Hartland Town Clerk).

Eliphalet applied for a Revolutionary War pension on 25 Jul 1832, aged 74 yrs (Revolutionary War Pension Files, National Archives, #S21954 [FHL #972074]). He stated in this document that he lived on Martha's Vineyard in 1775.
    MAR: No mar rec found. Children of Eliphalet Rogers and his wife Sarah were recorded at Hartland, Vermont, 1786-1804 (Hartland Vital Records, 2:2:13 [FHL #028345]).

Powers stated that Samuel died in Sandy Hill, NY in 1802 or 1803. Deed from Samuel Raymond to his son Samuel proves he was living on 6 Apr 1803(Woodstock, Vermont Deeds, 4:487 [FHL #029131]). Samuel's estate was probated in Sep 1803, Windsor Co., Vermont Probate (Hartford District), 3:134 (FHL #029160). Hence, Samuel died between 6 Apr-Sep 1803.
