Agnes, wife of George Garrold [alias Butcher] is called daughter in the will of Joan Garrold of Ovington, widow of Thomas Garrold, 13 Feb 1564, proved 16 Mar 1564, Commissary Court of the Bishop of London (Essex & Herts Div), reg wills, 3:24 (FHL #094219). Joan is clearly Agnes's mother, but Thomas Garrold may not be Agnes's father, as Joan may have had a previous husband. Thomas may be the father of George Garrold alias Butcher.
