BIRTH: No birth rec found. Sarah is identified in the will of her father, Thomas Look of Tisbury, 4 Dec 1725, proved Jan 1725/6 (1st Tuesday), Dukes Co. Probate, 2:3-5 (FHL #911747). She is also identified in the private records of William C. Folger published in VITAL RECORDS OF NANTUCKET, 5 vols. (Boston, 1925-28), 2:250 (FHL #974.497/N1 V2n). The latter is not an original source.
MAR: No mar rec found. She is called Sarah "Luce" in her father's will, above. Henry and Sarah Luce receipted for their portion of the Thomas Look estate, 4 Jun 1726 (Dukes Co. Probate, 2:12 [FHL #911747]). First child of this couple was born in 1700.
DEATH: No death rec found. Sarah is mentioned in the will of her husband, Henry Luce "of Dukes Co.," 6 Mar 1737/8, proved 29 Feb 1743, Dukes Co. Probate, 3:166-67 (FHL #911747).

BIRTH: No birth rec found. Elizabeth is identified as the 12-yr-old dau of George Bunker of Topfield, deceased, in his inv of estate, 29 May 1658 (THE PROBATE RECORDS OF ESSEX COUNTY, 3 vols. [Salem, MA, 1916-20], 1:267-68 [FHL #974.45 P2p]).
MAR: No mar rec found. Thomas Look's wife Elizabeth consented to a deed of gift to son Samuel, 7 Aug 1718 (Dukes Co. Deeds, 3:338-39 [FHL #911712]). On 22 Dec 1681 Thomas Look of Nantucket acknowledged receipt of land he received from his "father-in-law" Richard Swain (Nantucket Co. Deeds, 1:2:56 [FHL #906232]). Richard Swain had no dau Elizabeth, but Richard married Jane, widow of George Bunker, of Topsfield in 1658, whose eldest dau was Elizabeth. Hence, it appears that Thomas Look married Elizabeth, dau of George Bunker and stepdaughter of Richard Swain.

MAR: No mar rec found. A widow Jane is identified in George's estate recs, below. She is called Jane Godfrey in James Savage, GENEALOGICAL DICTIONARY OF THE FIRST SETTLERS OF NEW ENGLAND, 4 vols. (Boston, 1860-61; repr Baltimore, 1969), 1:299 (FHL #974 D2s). No proof has been found. Some researchers identify her with an Elizabeth Godfrey who married a George Bunker at Maulden, Beds, 5 May 1644. See Henry L. Bunker, BUNKER FAMILY HISTORY (Bunker Family Association, 1984), 80 (FHL #929.273 B884b). The leap from Elizabeth to Jane is not explained, however.
