MAR: No mar rec found. George Palmer of Kittery, Maine and his wife Elizabeth sold land to Henry Greenland, 15 Oct 1666. The original deed is in Suffolk County Court Files, #979 (FHL #911122). In the same file is a power of attorney from George Palmer to Roger Deering, "my well beloved friend," dated 13 Jun 1667. It appears that George wanted Roger to receive his (George's) portion of the estate of his mother who had died the previous month. Roger Deering was the husband of George's sister Joan Palmer. He was back and forth between Dartmouth and Kittery as a shipwright and mariner.

Entry is from a BT in which the year is torn away. The eldest child of Clement was a son Clement, baptized 30 Sep 1621; therefore, a synthesized mar year of 1620 is used here.
BUR: Langford, "Townstall, Dartmouth Parish Register," 2:2:9. Also see the will of widow Sarah Palmer of Townstall, 12 Aug 1665, proved 14 Jun 1667, Archdeaconry Court of Totnes, abstracted in Charles E. Banks ms (FHL #1550098 item 32). The recs of this court were destroyed in 1942.
