Year of birth is calculated from age "about forty years" in deposition, 6 Oct 1659 (RECORDS AND FILES OF THE QUARTERLY COURTS OF ESSEX COUNTY, 9 vols. [Salem, MA, 1911-75], 2:231 [FHL #974.45 P2e]). Most of his younger siblings were baptized at Hatton, Warws, but John's baptism was not found.

John Eaton is included in the agreement of heirs of Thomas Rowlandson of Lancaster, 10 Sep 1658 (Alice E. Busiel, ed, Middlesex Co. Court Papers, box 1659-60, in Middlesex Co. Probate, Miscellaneous Records [transcript, 1917], 340-41 [FHL #385974]). Hence, John married Martha, dau of Thomas Rowlandson.

BIRTH: No birth rec found. John Eaton is included in the agreement of heirs of Thomas Rowlandson of Lancaster, 10 Sep 1658 (Alice E. Busiel, ed, Middlesex Co. Court Papers, box 1659-60, in Middlesex Co. Probate, Miscellaneous Records [transcript, 1917], 340-41 [FHL #385974]). Children of John Eaton and his wife Martha are recorded in Salisbury vital recs, 1646-1663. Hence, Martha is a dau of Thomas Rowlandson. Martha deposed on 28 Sep 1685 that she was "fifty-seven years or upward" (RECORDS AND FILES OF THE QUARTERLY COURTS OF ESSEX COUNTY, 9 vols. [Salem, MA, 1911-75], 9:526 [FHL #974.45 P2e]).

Wife is called Phebe Dow on mar rec, apparently the widow of Thomas Dow of Haverhill whose will, 29 May 1654, proved 8 Apr 1656, mentions wife Phebe (THE PROBATE RECORDS OF ESSEX COUNTY, 3 vols.
